The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Mr Zhang Dejiang, received a briefing on the work of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government this afternoon (May 17).
Accompanied by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, Mr Zhang was greeted upon arrival at the Central Government Offices by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam; the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang; and the Secretary for Justice, Mr Rimsky Yuen, SC.
Those attending the briefing included Principal Officials of the HKSAR Government and Permanent Secretaries.
Following a group photo with the participants, Mr Zhang received reports on various aspects of the work of the HKSAR Government.
