The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, will depart tomorrow (May 10) to visit Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangdong.
Mr Lai will arrive in Nanning tomorrow afternoon and meet with officials from the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He will visit the Dongxing Border Control Point, followed by meeting with officials from the Public Security Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on May 11.
Mr Lai will proceed to Guangzhou where he will meet with officials from the Public Security Department of Guangdong Province on May 12. He will depart for Shenzhen on May 13 and visit the Command Post of Shekou Border Control and the Huanggang Border Control Point.
During his visit, Mr Lai will meet with senior government officials in Guangxi and Guangdong to exchange views on matters of mutual concern.
Mr Lai will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on May 13.
