Community Chest Executive Committee Chairman inspects passing-out parade at HK Police College (with photos)

     The Executive Committee Chairman of The Community Chest of Hong Kong, Mr Peter Wong, today (April 30) inspected the passing-out parade for 28 probationary inspectors and 259 recruit constables at the Hong Kong Police College.

     Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Wong encouraged the graduates to work out the best feasible solutions according to their professional knowledge and experience in the ever-changing social and political environment.

      ˇ§The solutions may not be perfect, but are the best or the ones with the lowest adverse impacts under a host of constraints. Bear in mind that all you have said and done might affect the livelihood of the people,ˇ¨ Mr Wong said.

      He said that the graduates would face a lot of challenges when discharging their duties, but the challenges could also motivate them to unlock their potential and give full play to their capabilities.

      Noting The Community Chestˇ¦s aim of ˇ§100 per cent givingˇ¨, Mr Wong believed that the graduates also shared the same dedication to do their best for maintaining the law and order in Hong Kong.

     In his concluding remarks, Mr Wong expressed gratitude to the Hong Kong Police College for its contributions to training new blood as well as reviewing and updating the training programmes with a view to enhancing the professionalism of Police and making the Hong Kong Police Force one of the finest disciplined forces in the world.
