Civil Aid Service Recruit Training Certificate Programme awarded vocational accreditation (with photos)
*********************************************************

The Recruit Training Certificate Programme organised by the Civil Aid Service (CAS) Training School has been accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications and was recognised under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (QF) as meeting the accreditation standards at Level 3 on April 15. It is the first training programme of auxiliary forces to have been awarded vocational accreditation.

The Certificate in Auxiliary Forces Basic Training Programme (Civil Defence) is a professional and diversified training programme offered by the CAS Training School to new recruits to meet the service standards of the CAS. The programme comprises five core modules, namely induction training, first aid, footdrill, basic emergency rescue and search and rescue operations exercise. This year, new recruits will be awarded the Certificate in Auxiliary Forces Basic Training (Civil Defence) and will be deployed to various units for duty after completing the programme and passing the assessments.

The recognition under QF confirms the high standard of professional training of the CAS Training School and ensures that members meet frontline operational needs. The School will arrange the above training for over 200 newly recruited members from May to December this year and intends to hold the passing-out parade on December 18.
