Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok this afternoon (April 27) in which an 84-year-old woman was killed.
About 5.22pm, a heavy goods vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man was travelling along Fuk Tsun Street towards Mong Kok. When reaching 4 Fuk Tsun Street, it reportedly knocked down the 84-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious injuries, the woman was certified dead at scene.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in early June.
Investigation by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
