The spokesperson of Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH) gave the following update today (April 26) regarding an earlier announcement on a cluster of Multi-Drug Resistant Acinetobacter (MDRA) in a male rehabilitation ward.
The hospital has continued with the screening procedures and confirmed one more male patient, aged 84, to have MDRA. He is now hospitalised under medical surveillance and isolation. He is in stable condition.
The case has been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for follow-up. The hospital will continue enhanced infection control measures and closely monitor the situation.
