Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan this morning (April 25) in which a 81-year-old woman was killed.
At about 11.02am, a bus driven by a 56-year-old man was travelling along Kwong Lee Road towards Mei Foo. When approaching near Lei Cheng Uk Estate, the bus reportedly knocked down the woman.
Sustaining serious leg injuries, the woman was rushed to the Caritas Medical Centre in unconscious state where she was certified dead at 11.35am.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, is under way.
