Police arrested a 52-year-old man in connection with an attempted murder case in Yuen Long today (April 22).
At 3.25pm, Police received a report from a woman alleging that she was being assaulted by her ex-husband in a unit on Sha Pat Heung Road.
Police officers and ambulance men sped to the scene. A 52-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were located in the unit. The woman sustained bruises to her left hand. Both of them were rushed to Pok Oi Hospital for medical treatment in conscious state.
Initial investigation revealed that the duo had a money dispute inside the unit and the man pulled his ex-wife out onto balcony and alleged to plunge themselves to death from the residence.
Police arrested the man for attempted murder at scene. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Yuen Long District is under way.
