CP attends 24th Bilateral Meeting between HKPF and Mainland Public Security Authorities

     The Commissioner of Police, Mr Lo Wai-chung, attended the 24th Bilateral Meeting between Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) and the Mainland Public Security Authorities held in Hong Kong on April 13.

     During the annual Bilateral Meeting, issues that both sides concerned were discussed. In addition to the evaluation of crime situation in Hong Kong and the Mainland, both parties reviewed the bilateral cooperation during the past year and mapped out the way forward. Views on areas of boundary control, criminal investigation, cross-boundary crimes, anti-narcotics, counter-terrorism, police liaison and training were also exchanged.

     Representatives of Hong Kong comprised officers in charge of criminal, operational, and training matters. The Mainland delegation was headed by the Vice Minister of Public Security, Mr Chen Zhimin, with delegates comprising heads of various bureaux under the Ministry of Public Security as well as representatives from Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department and Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau.
