The Hospital Authority (HA) will organise a Community Roving Exhibition around the territory in the coming four months to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Authority. To showcase HA's development over the past 25 years, the roving exhibition will display a wide range of advanced medical technologies introduced in public hospitals to enhance patient services and also take the opportunity to salute to the healthcare professionals for their dedicated service in public hospitals.
The Launch Ceremony of "HA 25th Anniversary Community Roving Exhibition" was held today (April 9) morning at Lok Fu Plaza under the Link, which was officiated by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man; HA Chairman, Professor John Leong Chi-Yan; HA Deputising Chief Executive, Dr Cheung Wai-lun; and Chief Executive Officer of Link Asset Management Limited, Mr George Hongchoy.
In his welcoming address, Professor Leong said, "Through this exhibition, we hope the public would be able to understand more about the services of public hospitals and also be proud of having such an excellence public hospital system in Hong Kong."
Also speaking at the ceremony, Mr Hongchoy remarked that "HA and Link share common goals in providing quality service to the general public through their territory-wide networks. We are pleased to work with them again as the co-organiser of the Authority's 25th Anniversary Community Roving Exhibition. Link has opened its extensive shopping mall network for the exhibition to help convey their health message to local communities across Hong Kong."
At the Launch Ceremony today, HA arranged some game booths and distributed health information leaflets to help promote health messages to the residents. "HA 25th Anniversary Community Roving Exhibition" mainly showcases a wide range of advanced medical technologies introduced in public hospitals over the years, including mobile application "TouchMed", digital imaging technology, Clinical Management Systems, Inpatient Medication Order Entry System, as well as some hardware features such as electrically-operated beds and ceiling hoist system.
The Community Roving Exhibition, which will be toured around the shopping centres in eight districts, will last until July 22. Details of the roving schedule are appended.
