Young dancers spread anti-drug messages at Dance Peer Platform (with photos)

     Dance Peer Platform 2016 jointly organised by the Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau, the Action Committee Against Narcotics (ACAN) and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre was held today (April 9). It aimed to encourage, through anti-drug dancing activities, young people to develop healthy hobbies and a positive lifestyle and stay away from drugs.

     Thirteen youth dance teams from 10 non-governmental organisations participated in the event to showcase their dancing talents and demonstrate their determination to knock drugs out. The performing teams were (in alphabetical order of participating organisations) Energetic from the Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong Sham Shui Po District Youth Outreaching Social Work Team; Flame from the Caritas District Youth Outreaching Social Work Team - Southern; YMCA KT Dance Crew from the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong Kwai Tsing and Tsuen Wan Youth Outreaching Social Work Team; MT Crew, X Afraid, 4-dream and Missile from the Hong Kong Children & Youth Services Ma On Shan Youth Outreaching Social Work Team; Sixteen from the Hong Kong Children & Youth Services Tai Po District Youth Outreaching Social Work Team; Remix Girls from the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Youth Crime Prevention Centre Sai Kung & Wong Tai Sin Outreaching Social Work Team; Nepali Dance Group from the HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre; T-Xenic from the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Tung Chung Integrated Services; Windmill from the Hong Kong Student Aid Society Limited Holland Hostel; and Freedom Girls from the Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service Kowloon City District Youth Outreaching Social Service Centre.
