Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City this afternoon (March 26) in which a 25-year-old expatriate woman died.
At about 3pm, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 42-year-old man was travelling along northbound Fuk Lo Tsun Road. When turning right into Carpenter Road, it reportedly knocked down the 25-year-old expatriate woman who was crossing the road.
The woman was trapped under the PLB and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining head and chest injuries, she was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 8.56pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
