The spokesperson of Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital (AHNH) gave the following update today (March 23) regarding an earlier announcement on a cluster of patients with Drug Resistant Acinetobacter in a mixed medical ward.
The hospital has continued with the screening procedures and confirmed one more male patient aged 32 to have Drug Resistant Acinetobacter. The patient has already been discharged.
AHNH will continue the enhanced infection control measures and closely monitor the situation of the ward. The case has been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow-up.
