The Competition Policy Advisory Group (COMPAG) today (March 15) published its 2014-2015 Annual Report, which is available online at the COMPAG website www.compag.gov.hk.¡@
A Government spokesman said, "The report reviews the complaints handled by COMPAG during the year and outlines the progress of investigation and follow-up actions taken.
"With the full commencement of the Competition Ordinance on December 14, 2015, competition-related complaints are handled by the Competition Commission and the Communications Authority as the statutory authorities to enforce the competition rules. The focus of work of COMPAG has been correspondingly adjusted. The report also sets out the key elements of the Competition Ordinance as well as the new terms of reference of COMPAG," the spokesman added.
COMPAG was established in December 1997 to provide within the Government a high-level and dedicated forum for examining, reviewing and advising on competition-related issues, including the handling of complaints.
