Man holding charged with attempted murder and shop theft

     Police today (March 11) laid a holding charge against a 32-year-old man with one count of attempted murder and two counts of shop theft.

     About 6.45pm on March 8, Police received a report that some goods of a shop on Pitt Street, Yau Ma Tei were stolen. Police found a man sustaining injury to his chest at scene. The man was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was then transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

     The blade and the handle of a knife were seized at scene.

     Upon initial investigation, a 32-year-old man was arrested in suspected connection with the case on March 9.

     The arrestee will appear before Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (March 12).
