CE welcomes UCI staging 2017 Track Cycling World Championships in Hong Kong

The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (March 5) welcomes and supports the decision by the Union Cycliste Internationale to host the Track Cycling World Championships (Championships) next year at the Hong Kong Velodrome.
"Hosting the Championships not only shows that Hong Kong possesses top-notched competition venues, it also demonstrates the city's strength to organise world-class sports events and further promotes the development of sports and cultivates sports culture in Hong Kong.
"I wish this sports event great success and look forward to supporting the exciting race next year with all the people in Hong Kong," the Chief Executive said.
