Third public forum on Lantau development opens for registration

     In view of an overwhelming response from the public, a third public forum will be held on March 13 (Sunday) to gauge views on preliminary proposals on Lantau development. Registration starts today (February 29). Members of the public are invited to attend.

     The preliminary proposals cover spatial planning and land use, conservation, strategic traffic and transport infrastructure, recreation and tourism, as well as social development, with a view to developing Lantau into a smart and low-carbon community for living, work, business, leisure and study while balancing and enhancing development and conservation.

     The forum will be held from 2.30pm to 5pm at Room 101 Auditorium, the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong, 3 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai.

     Seats for the forum are limited. People may register via the following channels on or before March 10. Registration will close once the quota is full. Applicants should provide their name, email address and telephone number. The enrolment form can be downloaded from the Lantau Development Advisory Committee (LanDAC) website (www.LanDAC.hk). Successful enrolment will be followed by a confirmation phone call or email. The forum will be conducted in Cantonese with simultaneous English interpretation.
