Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

     Police today (February 25) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom on February 20 in which an 82-year-old man died.
 
     About 1.45pm that day, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 31-year-old man was travelling along northbound Ma Tau Wai Road. When approaching Fat Kwong Street, it reportedly knocked down the 82-year-old man who was crossing the road.
 
     Sustaining head injuries, the 82-year-old man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conscious state. He was certified dead at 12.43am on February 21.
 
     The LGV driver was later arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in mid-April.
 
     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
