Police arrested a man in Tai Po today (February 16) in connection with a conspiracy to commit murder and suicide pact case in Wong Tai Sin in the small hours of February 3.
A 44-year-old woman made a report to Police on February 5 that a 41-year-old man and his 40-year-old wife were suspected of attempting to commit suicide by burning charcoal in a unit on 2 Wan Wah Street, Wong Tai Sin with their 11-year-old daughter at about 3am on February 3. No one was injured in the incident.
A pack of charcoal, some will notes and a burnt basin in suspected connection with the case were found in the unit afterwards.
After investigation, Police arrested the 41-year-old man for conspiracy to commit murder and suicide pact this afternoon in a hospital in Tai Po. He is now being detained for enquiries.
Active investigation by District Crime Squad of Wong Tai Sin District is under way.
