The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Health Hints on the Use of Display Screen Equipment" on February 23 (Tuesday). The talk will give a brief account of the Occupational Safety and Health (Display Screen Equipment) Regulation and elaborate on occupational health hazards among those who are required to use display screen equipment for a prolonged period and the preventive measures. Demonstration of workplace exercise will also be included.
The talk will be held at 3pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Hygienist and Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
The LD will hold another talk entitled "Work and Healthy Lifestyle" on February 26 (Friday). The talk will discuss ways to adopt a healthy lifestyle, including having a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate rest and effective stress management. Demonstration of workplace exercise will also be included.
The talk will be held at 6.45pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
The talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
