In response to the riot in Mong Kok early this morning (February 9), the ExCo Non-official Members issued the following statement:
Non-Official Members of the Executive Council strongly condemn the violent acts occurred in Mong Kok this morning. ?Since midnight today, a few hundred mobs have attacked police officers on duty and media covering the incident at scene. ?The mobs damaged vehicles and public properties, and committed acts of arson, seriously jeopardising the safety of police officers and other people at the site.
The ExCo Non-Official Members?fully support Police enforcement and swift apprehension of the mobs.
