Police today (February 1) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin on December 10 last year in which an 89-year-old man died.
About 5.20am that day, a taxi driven by a 69-year-old man was travelling along southbound Shung Wah Street. When reaching near Po Kong Village Road, it reportedly knocked down the 89-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conscious state. He was certified dead at 10.53am on January 20.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
