The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, today (January 24) congratulated Hong Kong cycling athlete Cheung King-lok on winning a gold medal for Hong Kong in the Men Elite - Individual Road Race at the 2016 Asian Cycling Championships held in Japan. Together with the gold medal he won in the Men Elite - Individual Time Trial on January 21, Cheung is the first Hong Kong athlete who brings home in a row the gold medals of both road events in the Asian Cycling Championships.
Mr Lau said, "Cheung King-lok performed phenomenally and his strength indeed excels. His winning another gold medal is admirable, in which Hong Kong people and I truly take pride."
