Fire Services personnel and district Fire Safety Ambassadors today (January 18) held a fire prevention roving exhibition at the Public Light Bus Terminus, Fung Cheung Road, Yuen Long, New Territories. The publicity activity was part of the department's continued efforts to enhance the fire safety awareness of members of the public and introduce the Fire Safety (Buildings) Ordinance Cap. 572 and the Fire Safety (Commercial Premises) Ordinance Cap. 502.
Fire safety leaflets and advisory letters were distributed to the public to remind them to take extra fire safety precautions during the festive season. The Mobile Publicity Unit was also parked near the Public Light Bus Terminus in Fung Cheung Road for visits by the public.
