United Nations Sanctions (Iran) (Amendment) Regulation 2016 gazetted

The Government today (January 15) gazetted the United Nations Sanctions (Iran) (Amendment) Regulation 2016 (the Amendment Regulation), which came into operation today.
"The Amendment Regulation amends the existing Regulation on Iran to incorporate decisions of the United Nations Security Council under paragraphs 21 to 23 of Resolution 2231," a Government spokesman said.
The Amendment Regulation mainly implements new exemptions to the sanctions measures in respect of Iran.
