Man holding charged with manslaughter over vehicle repair workshop explosion in Wong Tai Sin

Police today (January 12) laid holding charges on three counts of manslaughter against a 33-year-old male mechanic in connection with the vehicle repair workshop explosion in Wong Tai Sin on April 26, 2015.
In the afternoon of April 26, 2015, an explosion and fire occurred in a vehicle repair workshop at 63 Wan Fung Street, resulting in the death of three persons and another nine persons injured.
The male mechanic was arrested in Chai Wan this morning after Police sought legal advice following an extensive investigation. He will appear before Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (January 13).
