Lantau Development Advisory Committee holds seventh meeting

     At its seventh meeting held today (January 4), the Lantau Development Advisory Committee discussed its first-term work report.

     The report summarises the work of the first term of the Committee and its major proposals on the spatial planning and land use, conservation, strategic transport infrastructure, social development, and recreation and tourism for Lantau. It also outlines the direction for the Committee's next step of work.

     The Secretariat of the Committee will amend the report in accordance with the comments from members raised at the meeting. Upon completion of the amendments, the Secretary for Development and Chairman of the Committee, Mr Paul Chan, will submit the report to the Chief Executive for his perusal. The report will also be uploaded to the Committee's website for public viewing.

     This term of office of the Committee will expire at the end of this month. At the meeting, Mr Chan expressed his gratitude to members for their effort and contributions in the past two years.
