Police today (December 31) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping at noon on December 11 in which an 81-year-old man died.
About 12.05pm on that day, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 45-year-old man was travelling along Ngau Tau Kok Road towards Kwun Tong. When turning right into a slip road towards Kwun Tong Road, it reportedly knocked down the 81-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head injuries, the man was rushed to United Christian Hospital in conscious state and was later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He was certified dead at 2.12pm on December 22.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
