The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Occupational Health for Workers of Residential Care Homes for the Elderly" on January 7 (Thursday). The talk will elaborate on the occupational health hazards faced by workers of residential care homes for the elderly and preventive measures, to enhance employees' awareness of occupational health. A demonstration of workplace exercises will be included.
The talk will be held at 6.30pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
The LD will hold another talk entitled "Work and Common Gastrointestinal Diseases" on January 15 (Friday). The talk will introduce some common gastrointestinal diseases, their causes, symptoms and treatments. It will also highlight the mutual influence of work and common gastrointestinal diseases, and preventive measures to promote employees' occupational health.
The talk will be held at 3pm in the Lecture Hall, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, 5/F, Sheung Wan Municipal Services Building, 345 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
The talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
