The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, will visit Guangzhou tomorrow (December 17) and Macao on Friday (December 18).
Mr Lai will attend a joint working group meeting under the mechanism for co-operation between Hong Kong and Guangdong in anti-smuggling in Guangzhou tomorrow morning. Afterwards, he will call on the Vice-Governor of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, Mr Li Chunsheng, before returning to Hong Kong in the afternoon.
Mr Lai will leave for Macao in the afternoon on December 18 to call on the Secretary for Security of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, Mr Wong Sio-chak. They will exchange views on matters of mutual concern.
Mr Lai will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day.
