The Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas W Yang, will leave for Wuzhen in Zhejiang Province this evening (December 16) for the 2nd World Internet Conference.
The theme of the Conference is "An Interconnected World Shared and Governed by All - Building a Community of Common Future in Cyberspace". Mr Yang will speak at the Internet Innovation Forum tomorrow (December 17).
Also attending the Conference will be the Government Chief Information Officer, Mr Allen Yeung, and the Deputy Government Chief Information Officer, Mr Davey Chung.
Mr Yang will return to Hong Kong on Friday evening (December 18). The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will act as Secretary for Innovation and Technology from the evening of December 16 to December 18.
