The Government today (December 16) announced the following appointments to the Consumer Council for a term of two years with effect from January 1, 2016.
New Appointments:
Dr Jason Chan Kai-yue
Mr Marvin Hsu Tsun-fai
Mr Shih Wing-ching
Re-appointments:
Ms Linda Chan Ching-fan, SC
Mr Clement Chan Kam-wing
Ms Amy Fung Dun-mi
Professor Angela Ng Lai-ping
Ms Wong Shu-ming
"We are delighted that the three new members and the five incumbent members have accepted the appointment. We trust that their experience and expertise will be beneficial to the work of the Council in promoting consumer interests," a Government spokesman said.
Mr Chapman Chan Chor-man, Dr David Chung Wai-keung and Mr Alvin Wong Tak-wai will complete their terms of membership on the Council on December 31, 2015 after six years of service.
"We would like to express our gratitude to them for their contributions to various aspects of the Council's work," the spokesman said.
The appointment notice will be published in the Gazette on December 31, 2015.
