Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate three public events to be held on Hong Kong Island this Sunday (December 13).
(A)
The loading and unloading bays and slow lane of eastbound Tung Hei Road outside the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence will be intermittently closed from 7am to 10.30am, until the crowd is dispersed.
(B)
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 12.15pm until the crowd is dispersed:
- Eastbound Queensway between Des Voeux Road Central and Admiralty MTR Station Exit C1; and
- Fast lane of Garden Road flyover, if necessary.
(C)
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 2pm until the crowd is dispersed:
- Westbound Causeway Road;
- Westbound Leighton Road;
- Keswick Street;
- Pennington Street;
- Jardineˇ¦s Bazaar;
- Westbound Yee Wo Street;
- Westbound Hennessy Road; and
- Westbound Queensway.
During the road closure period, vehicles may not be permitted to leave car parks along the closed roads.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site
