The two-day outdoor Youth Music and Dance Marathon will be staged at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza on Saturday and Sunday (December 12 and 13) from 2pm to 7pm each day. The event will showcase music, dance, a B-boy battle, tricking physical theatre, a street workout, creative graffiti and a youth creative market by energetic young people, and admission is free.
A number of guest performers and over 30 youth bands and dance teams will take part in the performances. Mr Wong Chi-chung and Mr Jacky Lui will serve as the emcees. In addition, "Creative Market in Partnership@HKCC - Youth Creative Market" will be selling handicrafts such as leather items, ornaments and fabric products, displaying the creativity of young artists.
The line-up on December 12 includes Eman Lam, Subyub Lee, Chintung Tse, Chinlui Tse, Kevin Kaho Tsui and Jun C, offering fresh and original music to the public. Another highlight will be stunning performances of tricking physical theatre and a street workout by Trickstation and Street Workout Hong Kong in which participants will impress the audience with their fast, powerful and creative feats.
The performances on December 13 will feature guest performers including Kolor, GDJYB, Prune Deer, Blaster, Serrini and more. Local dance groups will perform a B-boy battle with displays of agility and original moves. Three noted overseas B-boys will attend as adjudicators and guest performers. A graffiti corner will also be set up at which members of the public may share the fun and show their creativity.
Youth Music and Dance Marathon is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, with Caritas Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association, the Renaissance Foundation and the Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong as programme partners.
