The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will visit Beijing from tomorrow (December 8) to Thursday (December 10) for meetings with the relevant Central Government officials in charge of financial and monetary policies to discuss issues of mutual concern.
While in Beijing, Mr Tsang will visit the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the Peopleˇ¦s Bank of China, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and other organisations.
The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, and the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Mr Norman Chan, will join the visit.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on Thursday. In his absence, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will act as Financial Secretary.
