The Director of Immigration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, inspected the 76th Recruits Passing-out Parade of the Civil Aid Service (CAS), comprising 25 officers and 125 members, at CAS Headquarters today (December 6).
Mr Chan presented awards to an outstanding officer and six outstanding members after the inspection. A number of CAS members demonstrated rescue techniques, vegetation firefighting and casualty handling skills which were acquired during their induction training course. An outstanding officer cadet, two outstanding recruit members and two officer cadets who are a married couple also shared their mission and expectations in the CAS during a media interview session.
In addition, the CAS Training School Commandant, Mr Wong Chung-fu, announced the commencement of the CAS recruitment exercise for 2016. A total of 300 members will be recruited and the deadline for application is January 8, 2016. Details and the application form can be obtained from the CAS website at www.cas.gov.hk.
