The Trade and Industry Department (TID) will participate in the World SME Expo to be held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Hall 1 from tomorrow to Saturday (December 3 to 5).
This annual expo, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), provides a one-stop platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to explore business opportunities in the world market, and to find business solutions and support services to address their needs.
As one of the supporting organisations and a major exhibitor, the TID will showcase the department's work and support services to SMEs at Booth 1EC01. In addition, business professionals and expert consultants will be available to provide a free one-on-one advisory service for SMEs on matters related to accounting, legal, marketing and setting up business. SMEs are welcome to visit the department's booth to make arrangements for meeting these experts.
During the expo, the TID will also jointly hold with the HKTDC a two-day seminar series entitled "Branding: Embracing the E-tailing Era" on December 3 to 4 in Seminar Room D, Hall 1. Branding experts and representatives of renowned brands will speak at four seminars on how SMEs could form their branding strategies and develop new markets with e-tailing and online shops. Seminars on "E-tailing from Zero to Hero" and "The New Opportunities of Cross-border E-commerce in China" will be held at 11am to 12.15pm and 2pm to 3.15pm respectively on December 3, while seminars on "E-tailing: The Fast Track to Enter Overseas Market" and "Do Your Targeted Customers Know Your Online Shop?" will be held at 11am to 12.15pm and 2pm to 3.15pm respectively on December 4.
