Volunteers help protect wetlands
********************************

There is a dedicated group of nature lovers who manage and conserve important wildlife habitats at the Hong Kong Wetland Park in northern Tin Shui Wai. They work behind the scenes, devoting their spare time to maintaining the park as a world class eco-tourism spot for visitors.

They are part of the Hong Kong Wetland Park Volunteer Scheme which was established in 2002 to encourage the public to join the park in promoting wetland conservation.

News.gov.hk spoke with some of the volunteers, who explained their role at the park and what they have gained from working there.

The story appears on news.gov.hk today (November 29) in both text and video format.
