Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan today (November 19) in which an 86-year-old woman died.
About 1.25pm, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 60-year-old man was travelling along southwest bound Hing Wah Street. When approaching near Fortune Street, it reportedly knocked down the woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious multiple head and body injuries, the woman was certified dead at scene.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
