Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery to hold fun day
***********************************************************

The Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery will hold a fun day on November 29 (Sunday) to introduce the history of the fireboat to the public and raise their awareness of fire safety through various fun-filled programmes. Members of the public are invited to attend with free admission.

A fireboat water spray performance will be held and a fire investigation dog will be present to meet the public during the event. The ship's wheelhouse and engine room will be specially open for public visits.

In addition, three sessions of guided tours with the theme "The Day We Shared" will be held, in which former firefighters will share their experiences of working on the fireboat. Admission is limited to 20 persons per session and visitors can register on-site on a first-come, first-served basis.

Other highlights include game booths of the "Be a Firefighter" photo taking activity and the "Fireboat Fancy Party" face painting activity. There will also be a live performance of Chinese and Western music by firefighters.

The fun day, jointly organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Fire Services Department, will be open from 10am to 6pm. Programmes will be conducted in Cantonese.
