The following is issued on behalf of the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research:
To strengthen the support to non-Chinese speakers (NCS) in learning Chinese, the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) launches the Project for Developing Chinese Learning and Teaching Materials for Non-Chinese Speakers in Hong Kong.
With the funding support by the Language Fund, the project aims at developing learning and teaching materials for NCS to enhance the effectiveness in teaching NCS Chinese and to provide them with self-learning tools in learning Chinese.
SCOLAR is inviting funding applications under the project. Local tertiary institutions or educational, research, publishing and training organisations interested in applying for the grant may submit their project proposals to SCOLAR by 5pm of January 5, 2016.
