Police to implement special traffic arrangements for football match at Mong Kok Stadium

     Police will implement crowd safety management measures and special traffic arrangements to facilitate the holding of 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier Match at the Mong Kok Stadium on November 17 (Tuesday).

     "To ensure public safety, Flower Market Road, Yuen Ngai Street, Yuen Po Street and Prince Edward Road West (service road) will be temporarily closed from 9.35 pm that night until the crowds have dispersed after the match. Police may implement other traffic diversion and road closure arrangements in the area whenever necessary,กจ a Police spokesman said.

     Police call on spectators going to the Stadium to make maximum use of public transport.

     There is no on-street parking space on Flower Market Road. Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the Stadium will be prosecuted and may be towed away without prior notice.

     "Since all admission tickets were sold out, people do not have a ticket are urged not to go to the Stadium. Spectators should follow the house rules as advised by the organiser," the spokesman said.

     Organisers intend to hold any relevant public event are urged to contact Police as soon as possible so as to discuss relevant arrangements and facilitate the event to be conducted in a lawful and orderly manner.

     Police appeal to members of the public to take heed of on-scene police officers' advices and not to engage in any activities that may put the public order and public safety at risk.
