Musical puppet theatre "Woola Jungle II" to reveal magic's dark secret
***********************************************************

Local theatre company Make Friends With Puppet will stage the musical puppet theatre "Woola Jungle II " (third run) in December. With a touching storyline, original music and interactive puppets, the performance promises to transport audiences into a world of magic.

The story begins with a hunter who dislikes all animals because of an accident when he was a child. To banish all creatures from the forest, the nasty hunter employs guns, cannons and even magical powers. Without anyone stepping forward to help them, how can these residents of the forest escape from danger? Who can reveal for us the dark secret of the evil hunter and his magic?

Woola Jungle II received critical acclaim when it was performed in 2009 and 2010. Members of the audience are able to take part and "become" animals of the forest. They experience how evil ultimately fails in the face of justice. They witness how happiness will overcome rage and anger.

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, "Woola Jungle II " (in Cantonese) is one of the attractions of the "Cheers!" Series. It will be staged at 8pm on December 18 and 19 (Friday and Saturday) and at 2.30pm on December 19 and 20 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Theatre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre. Tickets priced at $140 and $180 are now available at URBTIX (www.urbtix.hk). For telephone credit card bookings, please call 2111 5999.
