Tenders invited for remaining works of cycle tracks from Tuen Mun to Sheung Shui

     The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) today (November 6) invited tenders for the contract for the remaining works of the cycle tracks from Tuen Mun to Sheung Shui.

     The works mainly comprise:

* construction of a new cycle track of about 11 kilometres from the Kam Tin River in Yuen Long to the Sheung Yue River in Sheung Shui with a footpath;
* construction of three cycle bridges across an existing nullah adjoining San Tin Tsuen Road in Yuen Long, the San Tin Eastern Channel in Yuen Long and the Shek Sheung River in Sheung Shui;
* construction of two cycle subways across Kam Pok Road and at Cross Boundary Shuttle Bus San Tin Terminus in Yuen Long;
* construction of three resting stations at Kam Pok Road, Ngau Tam Mei and San Tin in Yuen Long;
* construction of a public toilet with sewage treatment facilities at Ho Sheung Heung; and
* associated landscaping, traffic aids, road lighting and other miscellaneous works.

     The works are scheduled to commence in March 2016 and will take about 36 months to complete.

     Interested contractors may obtain the tender forms and other particulars from AECOM Consulting Services Limited at 8/F, Tower 2, Grand Central Plaza, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Sha Tin.

     The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The closing time for the tender is noon on December 18.
