Substantive hearing of Commission of Inquiry into Excess Lead Found in Drinking Water to start next week

The following is issued on behalf of the Commission of Inquiry into Excess Lead Found in Drinking Water:

     The Commission of Inquiry into Excess Lead Found in Drinking Water will begin its substantive hearing at 10am next Monday (November 2) to hear testimony from witnesses.

     The substantive hearing will begin on November 2, 2015, and will continue on weekdays until December 18. It will resume on January 4, 2016, and continue until further notice. Such hearing dates are subject to change by further directions of the Commission.

     Unless otherwise directed by the Commission, hearing time each day will be from 10am to 1pm and from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

     The substantive hearing to be open to the public and the media will be held at the Hearing Room on 1/F, 1 Battery Path, Central, Hong Kong (former Court of Final Appeal Building). There will also be a simultaneous closed-circuit video/audio broadcast of the proceedings to the Hearing Transmission Galleries in the same building.
