LD holds occupational health public talks

     The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Occupational Stress" on November 6 (Friday). To promote employees' awareness of the issue, the talk will introduce the signs and symptoms of occupational stress and how occupational stress may affect employees' health, as well as discuss coping strategies through case illustrations.

     The talk will be held at 3pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Hygienist and Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The LD will hold another talk entitled "Prevention of Lower Limb Disorders" on November 11 (Wednesday). The talk will introduce symptoms of common lower limb disorders such as plantar fasciitis, varicose veins and osteoarthritis of the knee, and their treatment and preventive measures. Demonstration of workplace exercise will be included.

     The talk will be held at 6.45pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     Both talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
