Judiciary's response to media enquiries

The following is issued on behalf of the Judiciary:
Sing Tao Daily carried a report yesterday (October 24) on the wedding anniversary banquet of the Chairman of Emperor Group Mr Albert Yeung in Conrad Hotel, Admiralty, in which a photo of the Chief Justice taken at the hotel was carried.
In response to media enquires on whether the Chief Justice had attended the banquet, a spokesman for the Judiciary gave the following reply today (October 25):
The Chief Justice was at the hotel that night attending a dinner with fellow judges. He was neither invited nor did he attend any part of Mr Yeung's wedding anniversary banquet.
