Improvements to Tuen Mun footbridge proposed

     The Government has proposed to widen the existing footbridge connecting Siu Hong Road with West Rail Siu Hong Station with two escalators and a lift installed to cope with the increasing number of pedestrians arising from the Tuen Mun Area 54 public housing developments.

     The proposal, gazetted today (October 23), is set out in the Annex. The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

Central and Western District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre,
G/F, Harbour Building,
38 Pier Road, Central, Hong Kong

Tuen Mun District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre,
2/F, Tuen Mun Government Offices,

     The gazette notice and location plan will be available at
www.thb.gov.hk/eng/psp/publications/transport/gazette/gazette.htm .

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 22/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong, on or before December 22, 2015.
