The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting President of the Republic of Croatia, Mrs Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, at Government House this morning (October 18) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung noted that ties between Hong Kong and Croatia had become increasingly close in various ways. He also said that Hong Kong, as an international financial and trade centre, can leverage on the city's dual advantages of "one country" and "two systems" and act as a "super-connector" linking the Mainland of China and the rest of the world, thereby opening up more business opportunities for enterprises from Croatia.
Mr Leung said he hoped that the two places would continue to maintain exchanges and strengthen ties on all fronts.
