Special traffic arrangements in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Yau Tong and Sai Wan Ho to facilitate the holding of a swimming competition on October 18 (Sunday).

Kowloon
-------

I. Road Closure

     The following roads will be closed from 10am on October 17 to noon on October 18:

- Shung Shun Street between Tung Yuen Street near Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry Pier and Lei Yue Mun Typhoon Shelter Breakwater Sitting Out Area.
  
     The following roads will be closed from 6pm on October 17 to noon on October 18:

- Shung Shun Street between Sze Shan Street and Lei Yue Mun Typhoon Shelter Breakwater Sitting Out Area;
- The kerbside lane of southbound Shung Shun Street between Lei Yue Mun Path and Sze Shan Street;
- Tung Yuen Street between Shung Shun Street and Yan Yue Wai; and
- Yan Yue Wai between Shung Shun Street and the open-air carpark.

II. Traffic Diversions

     Yan Yue Wai (Tung Yuen Street) bound between Tung Yuen Street and the open-air carpark will be converted from two-lane-one-way traffic into two-lane-two-way traffic from 6pm on October 17 to noon on October 18.

III. Suspension of parking spaces

     The following metered parking spaces will be suspended from 7pm on October 16 to noon on October 18:

- Four metered parking spaces in Shung Shun Street near Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry Pier; and
- Two metered parking spaces in Tung Yuen Street near Shung Shun Street.

Hong Kong Island

I. Road Closure

     The rightmost lane of Tai Hong Street and Lei King Road outside Lei King Wan will be closed from 10pm on October 17 to noon on October 18.
 

II. Suspension of parking spaces

     Thirty-eight metered parking spaces and all motorcycle parking spaces at Tai Hong Street near Lei King Road will be suspended from 10pm on October 17 to 2pm on October 18 2015.

     All vehicles parked illegally would be towed away without prior notice.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
